Multi‑branch silicone hose with flash-free joints and seamless smooth inner bore. Engineered to eliminate molding flash at branch connections, ideal for custom automotive and industrial molded silicone routing.
Custom molded multi-port silicone hose, built with proven flash control technology. Smooth inner bore avoids turbulence and particle shedding for engine fluid circuits.
enquiryMulti‑branch silicone hose (also referred to as multi-port molded silicone hose) is a complex molded silicone component featuring multiple outlets for engine air intake, turbocharger, coolant and vacuum routing. Compared with standard silicone hoses, multi‑branch designs bring higher challenges in mold construction, demolding and manual craftsmanship.
Multi-Branch Silicone Hose
As an experienced silicone hose manufacturer, Hotop designs and fabricates custom multi-branch silicone hoses for automotive and industrial customers. Complex multi-port geometry requires deep engineering know-how, especially for demolding strategy, branch joint structure and tooling design.
Our engineering team carries out 3D simulation for molding and demolding validation before mold production. We have summarized proven branch‑connection schemes for different port layouts to optimize mold release performance, improve molding quality and extend mold service life.
Production of multi-branch silicone hoses relies heavily on skilled operators. Hotop maintains an experienced production team to guarantee stable, repeatable quality for complex molded parts.
All multi-branch silicone hoses are fully custom‑made. We can produce strictly according to your technical drawings, 3D files or physical samples.

Multi-branch silicone hoses are troubled by flash at the branch joint, a widespread and tricky issue across the industry. The root cause is straightforward: to enable demolding, a tiny clearance is reserved between the branch and main tube. No matter how precisely the mold is machined, this clearance gradually widens after repeated demolding cycles. Under pressure during vulcanization, raw silicone material squeezes into the gap and forms flash.
With more than 15 years of experience manufacturing silicone hoses, Hotop has developed proven solutions to control joint flash for multi-branch molded parts. We adopt tailored strategies based on different mold layouts:
Short straight branches (≤100 mm) The branch core is bolted tightly against the main tube core during mold design. This eliminates the clearance between the branch and main tube interface.
Long straight branches (bolted locking is not feasible) We use an angled press‑fit insertion structure. The inserting end of the branch core is machined with a slight taper. When assembled, the tapered segment wedges firmly into the opening of the main tube core. This design maintains sealing performance even after long‑term mold use and hardly shortens mold service life.
Curved branches It is nearly impossible to maintain zero clearance for curved branch molds. Even new molds with near‑zero clearance will develop gaps after mass production. Our proprietary solution uses a semi‑cured silicone gasket (made from inner layer compound, similar to an O‑ring) fitted at the joint interface. This pre‑form is only partially vulcanized before being loaded together with the hose for final vulcanization. During the secondary cure, the semi‑cured gasket blocks raw silicone from flowing into the mold clearance and prevents flash. This method delivers an extremely smooth, seamless inner transition at the joint. The trade‑off is longer cycle time, as the component requires two vulcanization stages.
Highly complex branch geometries Water‑soluble film is applied to seal mold gaps completely. This method works reliably. The film must be fully removed and inspected after demolding.
Another critical consideration in mold development is poke-yoke (error-proofing). Many multi-branch hoses feature branches with identical or similar inner diameters. Without error-proofing features, misalignment and wrong assembly of mold cores happen easily. We mainly implement offset mating structures for poke‑yoke protection.
Even with these mature, repeatable flash‑control processes, final inspection remains rigorous. We use borescopes, flashlights and other tools to verify the inner surface condition of every branch joint.
